Exam Contingency Policy
This policy outlines the procedures to be followed in the event of any disruption to SV Academy’s exams, including those caused by unforeseen circumstances such as technical issues, power outages, or weather-related events. The policy is designed to ensure that students are treated fairly and equitably in the event of any disruptions to the exam process.
Definition of a Disruption:
Actions to be Taken in the Event of a Disruption:
In the event of a disruption to an exam, SV Academy will take the following steps:
b. Communication with Students: SV Academy will communicate with students via email, phone, or other means of communication to inform them of the disruption and provide instructions on how to proceed. Students will be advised to continue to study as usual until further instructions are provided.
c. Rescheduling of the Exam: If it is determined that the disruption is severe enough to warrant the cancellation or rescheduling of the exam, SV Academy will notify students of the new exam date and time. Students will be given the opportunity to reschedule their exam at no additional cost.
d. Technical Issues: If the disruption is caused by technical issues, SV Academy will work to resolve the issues as quickly as possible. In the event that technical issues cannot be resolved in a timely manner, SV Academy may reschedule the exam or offer alternative exam options.
e. Power Outages or Weather-Related Events: In the event of a power outage or weather-related event, SV Academy will reschedule the exam to a later date and time. Students will be notified of the new exam date and time as soon as possible.
- Student Responsibility Students are responsible for ensuring that they are able to complete their exams as per the scheduled time and date. If a student is unable to attend the scheduled exam due to unforeseen circumstances, they must notify SV Academy as soon as possible. Students who miss an exam without providing prior notification may be subject to additional fees or penalties.
- Record Keeping SV Academy will maintain records of all disruptions to exams, including the nature and extent of the disruption, the actions taken to resolve the disruption, and any communications with students. These records will be kept for a minimum of two years.
- Review and Update This policy will be reviewed and updated annually to ensure that it remains up to date with the latest industry best practices and guidelines. Any changes to the policy will be communicated to all stakeholders, including students and staff, in a timely and effective manner.
